Job Description

Experienced Payroll & HRIS Implementation Manager needed for growing organization based in Scottsdale, AZ.  Multi-faceted role will process payroll end-to-end for multiple entities across various states and pay cycles, while also handling implementation and ongoing buildout of Paylocity payroll and HRIS platform. 
  • STATUS:  Direct-Hire, Full-time
  • WORKPLACE:  Onsite (Scottsdale, AZ) 
  • HOURS:  Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • SALARY:  $80,000-$90,000 annual, DOE (salaried exempt)
  • BENEFITS:  Comprehensive package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, HSA, EAP, and more.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Process full-cycle payroll for multiple legal entities across multiple states and varying pay frequencies.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Serve as the primary owner of Paylocity payroll and HRIS implementation, configuration, and optimization.
  • Set up payroll for new entities, including data migration, testing, and validation.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and support audits and reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain payroll processes, documentation, and internal controls.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-entity, multi-state environment.
  • Experience implementing or configuring a payroll/HRIS platform.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and multi-state payroll compliance.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines.
  • Strong technical proficiencies, including MSOffice Suite (Excel, Teams, etc).
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification a plus.
  • Legal residents of AZ only. Visa sponsorship not available. W2 only.
