Job Description

Immediate opening for Accounts Receivable Specialist 

** Construction or Car Dealership industry experience required **

Established and growing equipment rental company in East County is seeking two years (minimum) Construction industry (or Car Dealership) Accounts Receivable experience for immediate opening! 
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • STATUS:  Temp-to-Hire (goal of Full-time hire after initial temp/probation period)
  • WORKPLACE:  This is an in-office position located in Santee, CA.  No remote/hybrid option
  • PAY:  $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • BENEFITS:  After Full-time hire by client, benefits include company-paid medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K w/ match, paid holidays, and PTO
Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Process customer payments, apply cash receipts
  • Work with customers for accurate payment processing, resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices
  • Initiate contact and maintain follow-up efforts with past-due accounts, via email and phone
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing issues
  • Assist with credit applications, account set-up, maintain credit file documentation
  • Generate aging reports, communicate collection status to management
  • Support month-end closing activities
  • Prepare, track, and manage lien waivers/releases
  • Maintain COIs and ensure compliance with insurance requirements

Requirements include, but are not limited to: 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Accounts Receivable experience within Construction industry or Car Dealership, including knowledge of construction/progress billing, lien waivers & lien releases, COIs, collections
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn ERP systems
  • Must be self-starter, highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimum 40wpm and 7,000ksph - including 10-key
  • Must possess strong communication skills (written & verbal), including ability to work effectively with various contractors
  • Verifiable references from recent employment
  • Must be able to pass Background check and Drug screen requirements, in harmony with DOT
  • Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • High School diploma (or equivalency)
  • Legal residents of California only. Visa Sponsorship not available. W2 only.
