Accounts Payable / Bookkeeping Assistant
Multiple openings with technology-forward family-office accounting company in La Jolla, providing tailored services for each client. Build your career with an established leader!

STATUS:  Temp-to-Hire (goal of Full-time hire after initial temporary period)
HOURS:  Full-Time hours, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
WORKPLACE:  This is an in-office position, with parking provided. No remote option.
PAY:  $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Process and code vendor invoices accurately and on time
  • Verify approvals/documentation and enter invoices into the accounting system
  • Prepare ACH, check, and electronic payments
  • Maintain vendor records, AP aging, and payment schedules
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Research and resolve transaction discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and expense tracking
  • Assist with bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end close support
  • Organize and maintain accounting documentation and files
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • 1–3 years experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting, including banking and credit card reconciliations
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, general ledger coding
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel, type 45wpm
  • Strong attention to detail – even with repetitive tasks – and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage routine tasks independently, as well as effectively with team
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to resolve and explain complex issues
  • Associate’s degree preferred, or coursework in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • High school diploma, or equivalency of, required at minimum
  • Experience with small business accounting is a plus
  • Must be able to pass Background check and Drug screen requirements
  • Legal residents of CA only, Visa sponsorship not available, W2 only
