Job Description

Software/IT Sr. Project Manager for Insurance industry leader in Downtown San Diego office (with hybrid option).

Work closely with the IT Product and Engineering teams to lead projects that deliver new software products, applications, features, and improvements for customers, as well as enable business growth. Hybrid role with outstanding benefits and team.
 
  • HOURS:  Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • DURATION:  Direct Hire
  • WORKPLACE:  Hybrid: (3 days in-office preferred).
  • Remote: Will consider candidates that live outside of San Diego County or Orange County.
  • PAY:  $100K- $125K per year, depending on experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with team of developers, UI designers, and other peers to coordinate the day-to-day management of web applications. 
  • Communicate timelines, monitor progress, focus on quality control, and complete projects efficiently and on time. 
  • Roll-up and reporting regularly to senior management on key product development milestones, metrics, risks/mitigations, and sprint plan vs. actuals. 
  • Organize and lead interdepartmental meetings for release management, set project milestones, define project tasks and dependencies, establish program policies and processes, and allocate resources. 
  • Manage change control, priority changes, development reviews, and ensure other product development processes are effectively executed. 


Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred 
  • 5+ years of work experience as a software project manager, including working with all industry standard project management methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Kanban and Hybrid) 
  • Foundational knowledge of current web and cloud technologies 
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Office, MS Project, and Office Timeline. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and to effectively plan if priorities shift. 
  • Must possess excellent communication, writing and team collaboration skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. 
  • Legal residents of California only. Visa Sponsorship not available, W2 only.
