Employee Benefits Advocate (Assistant) opening with Insurance Agency located in Carlsbad.  Previous benefits experience required and Life/Health license preferred.
  • HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • DURATION: Direct Hire
  • WORKPLACE: Onsite position in Carlsbad, CA (no hybrid or remote option)
  • PAY: $60k - $70k, depending on experience

    • This agency offers a Summer Schedule! For the months of June and July, staff can leave every other Friday at 1 pm and will be paid for a full day.
    • During 4th quarter, the agency buys lunch for the staff once a week. 
    • Family environment to include a supportive team, open door policy and events such as a chili-cook off!


JOB DUTIES will include, but are not limited to:
This is a key role to keep processes running like clockwork. Will support Account Managers and be the direct point of contact for employees of the clients.
  • First impression of the agency – greeting callers with upbeat energy, fielding questions and connecting them to the right person.
  • Maintain accurate records in the systems, from client information to policy updates.
  • Help prepare and organize client-facing documents, proposals, and benefit plan materials.
  • Work directly with employees and their family members to answer questions regarding benefits. Act as liaison between insurance carriers and providers.
  • Ensure enrollments are submitted to insurance carriers in a timely manner and employees are enrolled in their desired plans.
  • Be the person everyone can count on for day-to-day administrative needs.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to:
  • Must have recent experience working with Employee Benefits.
  • Active Life/Health license preferred. If not, must be willing and eligible to obtain a Life/Health license within 6 months of starting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of EASE or Navigator preferred
  • Organized, detail-oriented, a team-player and proactive.
  • Must be able to multi-task and juggle priorities with ease.
  • Verifiable references from recent employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalency of, at minimum.
  • Must be able to pass Background check requirements
  • Legal residents of California only. Visa sponsorship not available. W2 only.
