Bilingual Human Resources Manager (Spanish)

Role can be based out of San Diego or Tijuana, requiring 3 days in San Diego office and 2 days in Tijuana, Mexico office.

In this role, you will be key in the success of many HR related projects, including employee engagement, productivity, and payroll. Taking the lead with the HR team, you will work to develop policies and programs for staffing, immigration, employee relations, training, compensation, and health and safety. You will supervise a small group of staff, working together for the development of processes and procedures for the CA and Mexico offices – and play a vital role in helping the company and employees grow and thrive together!

Key Details:
  • DURATION:  Direct Hire
  • PAY:  $75,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience
  • WORKSITE:  In-office to start, with hybrid considered thereafter. There will be travel to the Tijuana office 2-3 days per week.
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM

Job duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Implementing programs to help get the employees engaged, ensure the overall employee experience is improved, and morale is boosted and stays positive! This is a team-oriented company, so being engaging, communicative, and positive is a must!
  • Caring for employee leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations
  • Communicating benefits to all employees at each location with help from the PEO
  • Promoting equity, fair treatment, and positive employee engagement while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Directing all aspects of employment including recruiting, initial interview and coordination for hiring managers, background check, equipment set-up, onboarding, and exit interview
  • Maintaining and administering all HR reports and records as required by law
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment and HR laws, making updates when and where necessary
  • Assisting local managers carry out personnel matter responsibilities, performance management, proper disciplinary documentation, and coordinate for various projects related to HR

KEY Qualifications include (but not limited to):
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years in Human Resources, including knowledge of both California AND Mexico employment laws and HR guidelines
  • Bilingual Spanish/English - Ability to write, read, and speak Spanish at a professional level
  • SENTRI or Global Entry pass
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high-level of discretion
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to meet deadlines
  • Human Resources related project experience (preferred if you lead these projects!)
  • Experience with COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and state/federal regulations
  • Familiarity with PEO platforms and HR metrics
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Professional references
