Immediate opening for Accounts Payable Clerk with office in East County (Spring Valley, CA).

Established, successful equipment rental company in East County is seeking an experienced candidate with Accounts Payable experience, along with proficiency in QuickBooks for immediate opening!  
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • DURATION:  Temp-to-Hire (goal of Full-time hire after initial temp/probation period)
  • WORKPLACE:  This is an in-office position located in Spring Valley, CA.  No remote/hybrid option
  • PAY:  $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • BENEFITS:  Initially: Weekly payroll, direct deposit, online time entry, and upon meeting eligibility, sick leave pay.  After Full-time hire, additions include: healthcare/dental/vision insurance, 401K, paid holidays, and PTO
Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Enter payables and analyze invoices (100+ per week)
  • Submit invoices for approval, issue payments, cut checks as needed
  • Heavy data entry
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Review and manage expense reports
  • Complete and submit credit applications
  • Review master contract, update insurance certificates
  • Misc Accounting duties as assigned
  • Filing
Requirements include, but are not limited to: 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience, including A/P and high-volume data entry 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimum 40wpm and 7,000ksph - including 10-key
  • Must possess strong communication skills (written & verbal), including ability to propose and/or rephrase questions to achieve desired results
  • Must be self-starter with a 'can do' attitude willingness to work effectively in a small team setting
  • Previous experience with prelims and/or working in construction office or trucking industry preferred
  • Verifiable references from recent employment
  • Must be able to pass Background check and Drug screen requirements, in harmony with DOT
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as the use of office equipment such as fax/copy machines and multi-line phone systems
  • Regular and consistent attendance as defined per Company policy.
  • Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • Legal residents of California only. Visa Sponsorship not available. W2 only.
