Estimating Assistant - industry training available! 

Regional office of established restoration company is looking to add an additional Estimating Assistant (Jr Estimator) for their team in East County. Software & industry training will be provided for the right candidate, yet strong computer/technical skills are a must, along with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional OT
  • DURATION:  Temp to Hire (intent of Full-time hire after temp/probation)
  • WORKPLACE:  This is an in-office position in Spring Valley, CA
  • PAY:  $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • With use of CAD-like online systems, sketch floor plans and associate line items to create customer estimates
  • Generate reports (Excel based), including data entry and data calculations
  • Heavy data entry, including generation of digital outlines
  • Review, validate, enter jobsite documentation in multiple online systems
  • Compile detailed file documentation (i.e. photos, reports, equipment data, etc)

Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ administrative/office experience
  • Previous office experience in restoration service and/or construction fields preferred
  • Must have strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Gmail, and ability to learn online systems quickly
  • Experience with CAD, Xactimate or similar systems a plus, but not required
  • Strong data entry skills, including high accuracy  (minimum 45wpm / 6000ksph)
  • Must be pro-active with ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday and meet deadline expectations
  • Strong analytical skills required, along with eye for detail and quality assurance
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, with ability to compose professional correspondence
  • Regular and consistent attendance as defined per Company policy.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods, as well office equipment such as fax/copy machines and multi-line phones
  • Verifiable references from recent employment
  • Must be able to pass Background check and Drug screen requirements
  • Legal residents of California only. Visa Sponsorship not available. W2 only.
